Husband loves coffee. This is a rich, robust flavor.

This coffee has exceeded my expectations. Its very flavorful, smooth, low acidity and not made by the big guys who take odd political stands when they should stick to selling coffee and training their staff better.

I like my coffee strong. This has hints of a Turkish flavour ...Yes I am British, hence the flavour spelling.... You need not load up your basket/French press/ whatever, with too much coffee: Thus, less is more.. For 2 big mugs I used to put 7/8 table spoons in my French press: Now I use 5 tablespoonfuls. Thus, it is cheaper than many other brands. Quality is excellent, as are the owners of Verena street coffee: They have contacted me to check on my 'taste buds'.. All is well Gentlemen... I bought this for a client. I am always drinking her coffee when I am in her office, so I bought this and had it delivered the next day. Everyone in the office says it's great coffee. As dark as French Roast, but no burnt taste. It came as ordered by noon the next day. It was a perfect transaction

I'm still hunting for the absolutely perfect dark roast on line - and this is the closest I have come. Arrives excellently boxed (if you can say that about an Amazon delivery, they're all pretty good) - you can tell this was hand ground and packed, as opposed to done by machine. The coffee is fresh and flavor is very good. It's very close to what I'm looking for as a lover of classic dark (non spicy, non citrus). Almost absolutely perfect, and it's the only coffee I've written a review for. It's still a blend -- most of the dark smoky, chocolaty flavor I love, much less of the burned citrusy flavor you would find in a good Italian espresso. I still get dark roasts that are actually espresso roasts ground for drip - and that's usually a disaster. This is a great morning cup (and afternoon, and evening)... I work from the home office as a programmer with a cup at my side at all times. Coffee is crucial to my productivity, and this is close to perfect to my taste.

Good coffee, but not as robust or flavorful as I'd hoped. If I had the half-star option I would have given this 3 1/2. I'm a coffee purist, and I brew primarily using the Aeropress. I drink my coffee black, and I'm always searching for a rich, smoky roast. This wasn't bad, but it didn't meet my criteria. I'd really hoped it would because I'd love to support a Midwestern roaster with ethical business practices, which Verena Street seems to be. I haven't looked at all the varieties, so I'll do that next. I have no desire for flavored coffees though.

A full bodied and flavorful roast. I can discern based on the initial scent when I open a new bag of coffee whether it is any good and whether I will like it. I knew right away this would be a wonderful brew. I was not disappointed. And at $10 a pound, an excellent value.

Outstanding coffee, not even considering it’s wonderful price point. Very smooth and rich. The most delicious, enjoyable coffee I’ve ordered on Amazon (tried Death Wish, Koffee Kult, and other various smaller roasters).
