I have items that say not to wash with fabric softener. As the ecoegg says you don't need to use fabric softener can I use it with these items?

I have washed items that say not to use fabric softener and they wash great. It has a very subtle smell and cleans very well.

Does it contain any coconut?

I don't think so ,none of the ones I've used were coconut,to be certain it would be a good idea to read the name of the one you're buying that would give you an idea what scent it is,I use the yellow and blue one

Can this be used with a washer dryer machine?

I do not have a washer dryer combined. I always remove the egg after the last wash cycle finishes. I am not going to use the egg again after the beads inside wear away to small pieces which fall through the slots as it messes with the sensors of my machine. Gone over to eco wash sheets now. Hope that helps
