It can be hung both ways. I have it hung in landscape

Hi MelIt is 15mm it is a nice frame but it is not very strong it will be fine for a poster but I would not put a heavy picture in it because it would not take the weight, Hope this helpsRegards

Yes I ordered three frames and they all came with hooks and I attached two of them to be portrait and one landscape :)
