Ok, I'm not a poet, but I can fix a car and needed one of these. It went in very easy, fit exactly like the original, and immediately solved my mysterious phantom check engine light that every smog guy on the planet said was a gas cap issue. I find this to be the problem by using some old school troubleshooting paired with modern tech. Not what the average person would be able to do. But, if you keep getting a check engine light on your Silverado and people can't tell you what if is other than to replace your gas cap, this baby is probably your issue. Good quality replacement product. No more issues on the truck. It's been in for 3,000 miles.

Fixed P0455 code on Tahoe
This solved the P0455 code on my 2010 Tahoe after I tried a new gas cap.

Solved hard start after fueling.
Worked exactly as expected. OEM exact fit. Easy to replace. Less than 10 minutes total time. Completely solved hard start after fueling issue. Improved fuel mileage and also seems to have more get up and go too. If your vehicle is hard to start after fueling this is a 95% fix to the problem. My vehicle would be difficult to restart after fueling at pumps. That was the only issue I was experiencing and this part fixed my problem and it's a very easy DIY job. Just Google the video on how if you're not familiar. It's as easy as changing your air filter.

I was very surprised that this fuel purge valve was the cause of my po455 check engine code on my ob2 reader since the old one checked out fine. There must of been air purged after the truck was shut off. Anyways this fixed the problem no more check engine light and its been a month since install. 2007 chevrolet avalanche with the 5.3
